Seattle Area Coaching Legend Lumpkin Dies

Phil Lumpkin, 57, who led O'Dea High School (Seattle, Wash.) to state titles in 1993, 1997, 2004, 2005 and 2007, has passed away. The cause of death is unknown. Lumpkin graduated from Miami University of Ohio in 1974 and was a draft pick of the Portland Trailblazers. he played two years in the NBA.
