Gene Keady, the former head men's coach at Purdue, who hasn't coached in five seasons, said he has been offered a job as a consultant to Steve Lavin at St. John's. Keady, an animal lover, has cited his poodle as a reason he may not take the job as he doesn't trust just anyone to care for the dog.
